The Seneca Land Conservancy is governed by a board of directors committed to reclaiming and stewarding Seneca ancestral territory. Volunteers are the heart of our field work and community outreach — whether you can give an afternoon or an entire season, there is a meaningful role for you here. How to Contribute
Land Stewardship
Hands-on land stewardship volunteers assist with invasive species removal, native plant restoration, trail maintenance, and habitat monitoring on conserved properties. No experience is required — just a willingness to work outdoors and learn alongside knowledgeable guides.
Stewardship days are held seasonally throughout the Seneca homeland region. Groups, families, and individuals are all welcome.

Community Outreach & Education
Help us share the story of the Seneca homeland with neighbors, schools, and civic organizations. Outreach volunteers support tabling at community events, lead interpretive walks, and assist with educational programming that centers Indigenous land stewardship values.
This role is a wonderful fit for educators, storytellers, and anyone passionate about connecting people to the land’s cultural and ecological significance.

Landowner & Community Partnerships
If you own land within or adjacent to the Seneca aboriginal territory, you may be able to contribute to our mission directly through conservation-friendly land management, voluntary conservation easements, or land donations. Landowners, farmers, and forest owners all play a vital role in protecting habitat and cultural landscapes.
We also welcome partnership inquiries from municipalities, tribal governments, and other conservation organizations working toward shared stewardship goals.
